Descrizione
Furnished with a spruce and mahogany build finished with an Ortega MagusPRO/B preamp, dipped in a satin black paint-job and featuring gold hardware, the Ortega Deep Series D8CE-5 electro-acoustic bass comes 100% gig-ready. The spruce soundboard of this five-string model has been outlined with black and white binding, contrasting beautifully with the set of gold-look Die Cast machine heads and completing the deluxe look. In terms of acoustic sound, you're looking at plenty of depth, rich definition and sustain, and all of this is faithfully translated by the integrated electronics. Plug in, tune up using the built-in tuner, and tweak the volume and tone controls to shape your live, amplified sound.

Took a bit of a gamble on this bass as I couldn't find a supplier that I could test it before buying.
The gamble definitely paid off. Love the feel of this bass, action is great and it plays really well. The ace is definitely Ortegas new pre amp, absolutely incredible sound! Such a warm tone and incredible bottom end. Equal distribution of sound over all the strings (which can be rare with 5 string acoustic basses). Hot of the heals from playing a gig with it- no feedback issues AT ALL!
Would highly recommend this bass, delivery was a bit slow but this line wasn't in stock and had to be ordered from the supplier- BAX kept me updated all through the process, so couldn't fault them at all.
